Rooms: Auditorium for Classes, Hall 1 for parties

Ages: Very broad range of ages from teens to 80's, the average probably being in the 30's, 40's and 50's.

Accessibility: Lake Merritt is a wheelchair and scooter accessible venue, with elevator, ramps and accessible bathrooms. No sign language facilities.

Dance in the New Year with our new classes and dance parties.

• Dance Parties: Next -Mid Winter Ball December 23rd thenFebruary 24th 2012 (4th Friday).

• Gift Certificates: Give the gift of dancing this year! Whether private lessons or group classes, help your loved ones fullfill their dreams.
  

• Mondays:  Same-sex partner dance classes.

January 2012: Beginning Country Western Two step and Waltz, Intermediate West Coast Swing and New Performance Group. 5 week series.

January 2012: So many dances so little time! Trip the light fantastic is expanding to a Tuesday to meet with all your request for more classes of different levels. Tues at 6.30 will be a beginners Salsa, with Beginners plus Night Club Two step at 7.30pm. In fact everything you need to feel more confident out on the dance floor!

• Sundays: Same-sex ballroom and latin dance classes.

• January New Series with the New Year Beginning Waltz and Beginning Cha Cha

Trip the Light Fantastic is a Same Sex Dance School based in Oakland, CA, directed by 5 times North American Women's Same-Sex Ballroom Champion Zoe Balfour. We are dedicated to creating fun and exciting dance classes, parties and events for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer community for the last 14 years.
